The island is a central design feature, finished in the same dark wood as the lower cabinetry to maintain continuity. Its ceramic top, supplied by Laminam, is specified at 1.2 cm thickness, with a mitred edge detail that visually increases it to 3 cm. This adds a small touch on the sides and shows craftsmanship, giving the island a strong architectural presence while retaining the refined character of ceramic.
The overall colour palette is carefully coordinated to create depth and contrast. The white ceramic surface, with subtle grey veining, introduces brightness and natural movement, working in harmony with the darker tones of the cabinetry. The black upper units add a sharp, modern contrast, while the dark wood grounds the space. Together, these elements highlight the material quality of the Laminam ceramic, resulting in a kitchen that feels cohesive, contemporary, and enduring.
